Module 1: Introduction to Dyslexia
Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • Understand the definition of dyslexia
  • Identify components of language, and understand that reading and spelling build on language skills
  • Recognize the role of inheritance in the study of dyslexia
  • Understand how research in brain structure and function has influenced approaches to identification and intervention in addressing dyslexia.
